Whereas, the members of the Missouri House of Representatives always welcome the opportunity to acknowledge milestone events in the histories of Show-Me State organizations which are dedicated to serving the needs and aspirations of constituencies in particular fields of endeavor;

and
Whereas, the Midwest Sunbathing Association was established fifty years ago by a group of likeminded citizens at the Forty Acre Club in Lonedell, Missouri;
Â
and
Whereas, the Midwest Sunbathing Association came into existence to serve nudist clubs in the midwest which wanted a regional organization affiliated with the American Association for Nude Recreation, formerly known as the American Sunbathing Association;
Â
and
Whereas, the Forty Acre Club was founded in 1950 and is now the oldest and largest family oriented nudist club in the state of Missouri;

and
Whereas, it is fitting and proper that the Missouri House of Representatives should pause in its diverse legislative endeavors in order to recognize such stellar organizations as the Midwest Sunbathing Association at momentous times in their histories:

Now, therefore, be it resolved that we, the members of the Missouri House of Representatives, Ninety-second General Assembly, join unanimously to applaud the stellar history of service garnered by the Midwest Sunbathing Association down through the years and to convey to its members and officers this legislative body’s heartiest congratulations and best wishes as they celebrate the Fiftieth Anniversary of their founding as an advocacy organization;

Be it further resolved that the Chief Clerk of the Missouri House of Representatives be instructed to prepare a properly inscribed copy of this resolution in honor of the Midwest Sunbathing Association of Lonedell, Missouri.
