On November 1st each year, the Forty Acre Club closes to visitors.  The club is closed so that we do not have to staff our office and maid service.  But, let’s face it, its not really fun to be naked outside in Missouri during the winter months.

The club continues to hold indoor events for our members.

While the club is closed, we are making major improvements.  The pool has been drained, scrubbed, scraped and sand blasted.  Next spring it will be getting a fresh coat of paint, so that our guests and members can look forward to lots of fun in the pool.

Our Tennis court has been removed and is being replaced with pickle ball courts, horse shoe pits and other outdoor games.  All easily accessible and visible from our pool deck.  To accommodate our growing membership, we are expanding the golf cart parking  near the pool and clubhouse.

We are looking forward to welcoming visitors starting March 1 2022 for the 2022 season.

Maybe you’ll choose to enjoy the serenity of just sitting by our pond, gazing at the reflection of the trees on the water and listening to the birds.

Maybe you’ll see a deer coming to quench its thirst.

Get to Know Us...

Back in the early 1950’s a small group of St. Louis couples were looking for an out-of-the-way place to get together and enjoy the feel of the warm sun and fresh air on their skin. They found a 40 acre piece of land for sale in Franklin County and on weekends proceeded to carve out campsites and a common area on the flat hill top.

73 Years later the club has over 200 members and we welcome 100’s of visitors every year.

AerobicsBlur

Starting June 13…

Even though being in the pool seems very relaxing, it is still giving your heart and muscles a great workout. Water exercise can even put you in a better frame of mind.

At the Forty Acre Pool (weather permitting).

Each water aerobics class features upbeat music and includes a warm-up, cardio and strength-training exercises, and a cooldown.  The buoyancy of the water is easy on your joints. That makes water aerobics a good choice if you have joint problems, chronic pain, or are recovering from injury.

Classes are every Monday, Wednesday, & Friday at 11:00 a.m. and Sunday’s at 10:00 a.m.

Take the plunge and try this low-impact workout that builds muscle strength and boosts your endurance. It’s fun, and it can be as challenging as you like.    Oh, and it’s FREE
